BEECH BEND RACEWAY

FRONT RUNNERS Oval and Figure 8

-FWD DIVISION RULES  

1.    This is the rule that keeps everything in its perspective.  After the feature race a driver may claim your car only if he finishes within 3 places of the claimed car, up or down. The claim will be: without a roll cage - $500.00 cash or with a roll cage - $1000.00 cash. All safety items remain with the person who was claimed (drivers seat, shoulder harness, window net, etc).  No checks. No questions. No fussing. No hard feelings. NO EXCEPTIONS.  The claimer must have raced in at least 4 other races in this class to be eligible to make this claim.  If you are not willing to sell your car for $500.00 or $1000.00 accordingly, don’t put it in the race. If a driver refuses to sell, he and the car will not be allowed to run in this division for the remainder of the season.  He will lose all points for the year in this division   Driver and car may move to another division. Track reserves the right to claim any car for $500.00 or $1000.00 accordingly.  Any car running in the Front Runner Figure 8 must have roll cage or 6” steel plate on drivers door.  The roll cage or steel plate must be approved by tech director.  The oval claim is independent of the figure 8 claim.  If a car is claimed in the oval it can still run in the figure 8.  If a car is claimed in the figure 8 it can still run the oval.                                                        

2.    Any make of car, with any engine combination- 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder.  No turbos or Super Chargers.  No rotary engines. No after market headers.

3.    No limitation on wheelbase or weight.

4.    Must have seat belt and helmet. If using stock bucket seats, you must weld seats securely so they will not fold down. No cut off bumpers allowed.

5.    All glass and plastic lenses must be removed, except windshield.  Windshield optional.  Mirrors allowed.

6.    All cars must have a two-digit number at least 24 inches tall, located on both doors and roof.  No duplicate numbers.

7.    TIRES –Must be stock.  No over size wheels or tires.  All tires must be Dot approved. No rain tires.

8.    Official’s decisions are final.

9.    No anti-freeze in radiator.

 BEECH BEND ALL AMERICAN BOMBER RULES

1.     Must be GM, Ford, or Chrysler brands only.

2.     Must be four-door.

3.     Must be 4 or 6-cylinder –NO V 8’S.

4.     Must remove head lights and tail lights.

5.     Claim rule:  In order to keep all cars on a level playing field – there will be a $300 claim rule.  This $300 entitles the buyer the complete car with nothing removed.  Any racer that races in the same feature with you has a right to make a claim on your car.  The track also has the right to make a claim on your car.  If a racer refuses to sell his/her car, they will not be allowed to race in this class for the remainder of the year.  They would lose all points accrued during the year and would not receive winnings for that nights race.  They would be allowed to move up a class, as long as the car meets tech requirements.

6.     Must have long sleeve shirt and long pants at any time you have the car on track.

7.     Must have factory working seat belts.

8.     Must wear track approved helmet. 

FIGURE 8 and MODIFIED STREET RULES

These are two separate classes with the same rules and tech requirements, with the exception of tire requirements (see rules below). 

1.     All cars in these two classes are required to have a 4-point roll cage and 4 bars in drivers door and 3 bars on passengers door.  After the feature race a driver may claim your car only if he finishes within 3 places of the claimed car, up or down and must have competed in 4 other races of the same class during the season.

The engine claim is $2000.00 cash, no checks, no questions, no fussing, no hard feelings, NO EXCEPTIONS.  Engine consists of oil pan to carburetor minus your starter. If you are not willing to sell your engine for $2000.00 don’t put it in the race.  If a driver refuses to sell he and the car will not be allowed to run in this division for the remainder of the season.  The driver will lose all points for this division for the entire season.  The driver and car may move up to another division.  If a car is claimed in the Modified Street it can still run in the figure 8.  If a car is claimed in the figure 8 it can still run Modified Street.

7.     TIRES and WHEELS-

a.     For Modified Street and Figure 8- Towel City Retread with Hoosier casings or Towel City Retreads with Radial casings.

8.     No anti-freeze in radiator.

9.      You must finish the race in the car that you started the race in.  Official’s decisions are final.

10.             No quick change rear-ends allowed. 

11.            The top 3 cars will be checked each night for tire hardness.

12.             Minimum weight 3000 pounds with driver after race.

 Open Wheel Modified Rules

Engines

1.      No engine size rule.

2.      Single carburetor only.

3.      Must run BBRP fuel.  No fuel additives allowed.

Rear End

1.      Floaters and quick change allowed.

2.      No Wide Five or aluminum parts.  No tube type axles.

3.      Magnetic steel drive shafts only.

Brakes, wheels and tires

1.      Four wheel brakes ONLY.  NO aluminum part ANYWHERE.

2.      Conventional magnetic steel 8" wheel only.

3.      Towel City 8" Hoosier 880 Goodyear Slick with stamp.

Frame

1.      Stock Frame--36" front of centerline of rear end, forward will be standard.  Anything else will be subject to a weight penalty, depending on the advantage you might have with a different type frame.

2.      NO widening or narrowing of frame.

Suspension

1.      Tubular upper control arms.  Bottom will be stock OEM.

2.      No Wide Fives.

3.      No rack and pinion steering allowed.  Stock steering only.

4.      No coil over shocks allowed.  No homemade coil-over springs anywhere on car.

5.      All coil springs must be a 4" diameter minimum.

6.      Only coil springs or multi-leaf allowed on rear.

7.      Only one shock per wheel.

8.      Coil over eliminator legal with 4" diameter minimum spring.

Bumpers or nerf bars

1.      Any item that could cut a tire must be turned in and/or have rounded ends.

Weight

1.      Minimum weight is 2,500 pounds.

2.      Minimum right side weight is 1,000 lbs.

3.      NO WEIGHT BURN-OFF ALLOWED.

Body Specifications

Spoilers allowed on rear at a maximum of 8" height and cannot extend past rear quarter panel.  No side foils behind spoiler.  Total material not to exceed 8".
