NO fighting. In case of fighting,
action will be taken by track officials.
Drivers are responsible for crewmen.

Unnecessary rough driving will not be allowed during or after a race.
If a driver is disqualified for rough driving or unsportsmanlike
conduct, points and money will be taken away.

3.
Track officials reserve the right to inspect any car for violations
of rules. Track has the right
to require a tear down at any time. Track
has the right to determine at what day and time the tear down will occur. Refusal
to do so will result in a two- (2) week suspension and driver will be
required to tear down at the next race he/she runs in.

4.
If any race is red or yellow flagged before the first lap is
completed, the cars will line up in the original position, as before the
race started, even if there is work done on the cars.
During a race when the red or yellow flag comes out, the race goes
back to the last completed lap. If
a car is involved in a chargeable wreck or causes a caution, car will go to
the rear of the pack of cars. If
a car is worked on during caution, car will go to the rear of the pack.
If car goes to pits during red flag, but comes back onto track while
caution flag is out car will go back to his position. If car passes before green flag is dropped, car will go down
1 lap. All work on racecars
will be done in pit area only, not on track.
If work is done on track, car will be subject to disqualification.

5.
ANY CARS INVOLVED IN A LAST LAP SPINOUT WILL BE SCORED WHERE LEAD CAR
WILL FINISH IN FRONT OF THE OTHER CAR INVOLVED IN THE SPINOUT EVEN IF THAT
CAR KEEPS GOING.

Driver can qualify one car in each division and cannot drive
another car from another division.
Any driver qualifying 2 cars in the same class must notify the
Inspector prior to driver’s meeting as to which car he will start in the
feature. Drivers must complete the race in the same car which
he/she started the race. No
exchanges during the race for any reason.

7.
Track has the right to start a car in the rear of the race if
desired.

8.
The officials will determine all finishing positions and their
decision is final.
-
9.
The track has the right to rule a car illegal if it has an advantage
over the other cars in its field in some way that is not covered by rules.
-
10.
Anyone to exit off main track during race should exit to inside of
track (infield area) then
directed into pits.
-
11.
Any accident at track must be reported immediately and before leaving
the track. Your insurance
coverage may be affected if accident is not reported immediately.

12.
Any type of attack on a track official warrants suspension for
remaining of the racing season and prosecution.
-
13.
Drivers only will be allowed to pick up purse money.
Before a driver will be paid, he must register his name, address,
and social security number.

14.
The officials of Beech Bend Raceway reserve the right to update,
modify, add or delete rules and classes at any time.
However, there will be an announcement of any changes made.

15.
Track reserves the right to reverse starting order at any race meet.
-
16.
Track inspector must approve any item or part that is other than
stock not covered in Rule Book.

17.
If a driver receives a suspension for the season, he will lose all
points and money for the year.
-
18.
You must take a green flag to be in the race and get your ten points.
-
19.
No anti-freeze
in radiator. This rule is for
all classes.
-
20.
You must have a second car to race in more than one class with these
exceptions: Street and Modified
Street can run Figure 8. Front
Runner and Front Runner Figure 8 can run the same car.

CAR INSPECTION: All cars are subject to a safety or legality
inspection at any time before, during, or after any event.
If the technical inspector deems a car has not met all track safety
or rule standards, that car will not be allowed to compete until all
deficiencies are corrected. It
is the responsibility of the driver, car owner, and mechanics to have their
car free from mechanical defects, in safe conditions at all times.

SEAT BELTS: A quick
release seat belt and shoulder harness of at least 3 inches in width is
mandatory. Safety belts and
driver’s seat must be secured to roll cage or frame (not floor pan) and
must be approved by officials. Any
racing seat is considered a safety item.

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: All
cars must be equipped with a working on-board fire extinguisher securely
mounted within arms reach of the driver.

NO ELECTRIC FUEL PUMPS or Nitrous Oxide allowed in any class.
-
5.
WINDOW OPENING: Window
openings must be left open on both sides of the racecar to allow the driver
to exit from either side.

6.
HELMETS: Each driver is
required to wear an approved helmet any time their car enters the racing
surface. It is mandatory that all helmets by Snell Foundation Approved
(90 hardness minimum) and approved by officials.

7.
FIRE SUITS: Driver fire
safety suits are required, except for Street, Front Wheel Drive, Modified
Street, and Figure 8 classes. These
classes must have long sleeve shirts and long pants.

8.
FUEL CELLS: Fuel cells
must be mounted safely and meet track approval.
-
9.
FIRE WALLS: All cars in
all classes must have metal firewalls between driver’s compartment and
engine and between driver’s compartment and fuel cell or gas tank.

10.
DRIVE SHAFT LOOPS: All
cars must be equipped with a drive shaft safety loop made of flat steel (1/4
in. x 2 in. minimum size). Drive
shaft loop should be mounted approximately 12 inches from the rear of the
transmission so that the drive shaft cannot fall in case of front U-joint
failure. It is highly
recommended that loops be mounted front and rear of drive shafts.
ALL DRIVE SHAFTS MUST BE PAINTED WHITE.

11.
WEIGHTS: All weights
must be securely mounted with bolts to frame.
No wire, duct tape, etc. will be allowed to mount weights.
All weights must be painted white with car number on each peace of
lead.

12.
PIT SAFETY: All cars
driving through the pit area must be at a slow and proper speed.
No driver will be allowed to have passengers at any time.
Anyone seen riding on a car in an unsafe manner (i.e. riding on
bumper, etc) going to and from the pit and infield could be disqualified.
Maximum speed on all track property is 10 mph.
Anyone violating this speed could be disqualified. Only
authorized attendants are allowed at an accident.
PROTESTS
AND PROCEDURES FOR ALL CLASSES

1.
When protesting, you must also tear down.
All protests must be made at scales immediately following that
division of racing. Only the
driver can make a protest. You
may only protest a car finishing ahead of you.

2.
All protest decisions will be made by track inspector and are final.
-
3.
No payoff will be made in the protested division until protest
decision is made.
-
4.
If a visual protest is made, it must be one (1) hour before feature
starts. The inspector will make
a judgment and the final decision.

5.
Protest of engine is $300.00. This
covers bore & stroke, pistons, lifters & camshaft, heads and
manifolds. $50.00 will go to
the track inspector, $25.00 will got to the track and the remainder of the
protest money goes to the winner of the protest.

6.
Protest of lower end is $300.00.
This covers rods and crankshaft.
$50.00 will go to the track inspector, $25.00 will go to the track
and the remainder of the protest money goes to the winner of the protest.

7.
Protest rule on flywheel and clutch is $75.00.
This covers the flywheel type and weight and clutch assembly.
$25.00 goes to the inspector. $10.00
goes to the track and the remainder goes to the protest winner.

8.
Protest must be made at scales immediately after the feature. Once protest is filed, it will not and cannot be withdrawn.

9.
When protested and found illegal, you will loose all points and
monies for that night. If you
admit to being wrong and don’t tear down, you loose all points and monies
for that night and will be issued a fine in the amount of $50.00.
Each additional time you are protested and found wrong, the fine will
increase by $50.00 and you loose all points and monies for that night.

10.
On big races, winner will tear down.
Positions 2 through 5 will draw for further inspection.
Track reserves the right to determine at what time and date tear down
will occur on any race of any size.
THREE
WIN RULE – After one car has won 3 races, (not necessarily consecutively)
the car will automatically be torn down for inspection with no limit as to
what may be looked at by the Technical Director.
NOTICE
No driver, car
owner or mechanic shall have the claim for damages, expenses or otherwise
against promoter, track owner, Beech Bend Raceway, or any of it’s
officials by reason of disqualification, or damage to, either car or driver
or both, and car owner, driver and mechanic agree that the track is in safe
condition if they take part in racing activities.
If an unsafe condition is found by a participant, it is that
participant’s responsibility to notify a track official, the race director
or promoter immediately of such condition.
In consideration of acceptance by BBR of participant's application
and payment of membership fees, the participant agrees to abide by all rules
and regulations of BBR as to conduct and mechanical specifications, as now
published or hereafter modified. Failure
to abide by BBR rules and regulations shall be deemed negligence on
participant's part. If in any
case there are not enough cars to support the division, the promoter has the
right to cancel that division or run that division on a limited schedule or
allow that division to make changes that allow them to run with another
division.
SPINOUT
RULE FOR LAST LAP
Any
car involved in a last lap spinout will be scored where lead car will finish
in front of the other car involved in spinout even if that car keeps going.
DISCLAIMER
Beech
Bend Raceway Park shall hereinafter be simply referred to as BBRP throughout
the rules description. The
rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the
orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable
requirements for such events. These
rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in
these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules.
No expressed or implied
warranty for safety shall result from publications of or compliance with
these rules and/or regulations. They
are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are no guarantee
against injury or death to a participant, spectator or official.
The race director shall be empowered to permit reasonable and
appropriate deviations from any of the specifications herein or impose any
further restrictions that in his opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable
requirements. No
expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from such alterations
of specifications. Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to
the discretion of the officials. Their
decision is final. It is your
responsibility to make your car as safe as possible. You must satisfy yourself as to safety of your car.
If you feel uncomfortable or unsafe in your car, DON’T
DRIVE IT! FIX IT !!!
General
Rules for All Classes

1.
Car Registration: ONLY ONE (1) driver may register a car number.
If car has more than one driver, EACH driver MUST
compete using “their own” registered number and their own
transponders…NO EXCEPTIONS!

2.
Numbers:
Car must have numbers on both doors and on top. Numbers must be 24 inches high and must be painted or
decaled in contrasting colors and readable from the grandstand side.
NO spray-painted, duct taped, or temporary numbers of any kind.
Numbers must also be placed in the upper corner of the windshield
opposite the driver’s side. Windshield
numbers must be white in color and a minimum of 10 inches tall.
Numbers must also appear on the left rear of the car.
Numbers considered illegible will not be scored at the
discretion of track officials in the scoring booth.
Numbers must be no more than two digits, except in prior approved
instances. If three digit
numbers are not approved prior to the race, they will not be scored.
Any number discrepancy must be corrected in two weeks or car will not
be scored.

3.
No Profanity of any type on cars – track officials will make all final decisions.

4.
Appearance: If the Track Official thinks the body of any car needs to be repaired or
replaced, the driver will be notified and given two (2) weeks to do
so. Have a car to be proud
of…..That’s what sponsors look for.

5.
Protests: Rules
for all classes are in the front of the Rulebook and on the website under
General Rules.

6.
Track Teardown: The track has the right to require a tear down at any
time. Refusal to do so will
result in a $100 fine. Driver
will be required to tear down at the next race he/she runs in.

7.
Unfair Advantage: Any car deemed to have an unfair advantage might have
to add weight or some other device to equalize competition. Failure to do so
will result in not being able to compete in that division until weight or
some other device is added.

8.
Drivers Points: Make sure to let the person at the pay window know
who was actually driving the car. No
matter whom else you have told…you must tell us at the pay window if there
has been a driver change. If
you fail to do so and the points are given to the wrong person, they will
not be changed.

9.
Anything not covered in the above rules must be checked and approved by
the Track Officials.
Don’t forget – Any oval track car can test
and tune on Tuesday Nights.
